Wow wow wow, absolutely amazing, it’s a food experience. Trust the owners and just let them bring you their best! The cheese table and dessert is a MUST. The photos don’t do justice to the flavors.
“Northern refined flavors paired with exquisite hospitality” Last Wednesday me and my partner went to Krebsgaarden to celebrate my birthday. The menu is a no brainer. You MUST try it! I can still feel the cod melting in my mouth and the ice cream feeding my soul. WOW! And the danish cheese selection was to die for. The waiters were incredibly warm, with funny personalities and always unveiling their professional moves and explainations. It felt so special. Even when we forgot to bring a candle they found one and placed it for me on my dessert. Couldn’t have gotten any more incredible. We are definitely going to come back!
I've been coming here probably 20 times by now. It is my favorite restaurant in Copenhagen. The food is excellent, and the wine pairing is always good. It's also not a fixed size. You can have small pours or big pours, so it's suitable for all types of drinkers. The owners serve the food themselves, so you get great service and knowledge of the food and wine you get. If I were to mention a single downside it's that it can be difficult to estimate the cost, because you can tailor your menu in many different sizes. But for me it has always been great value.
It was a wonderful experience. We had 5 tasting menu. Every dish was excellent and paired with different wine. Staff was very friendly. Great service and making a very good impression. Highly recommended.
We were called from the waiting list last minute – and looking back, it was the best decision of our stay in Copenhagen. It was my wife’s birthday, and I always try to find the best restaurants in the city, which is especially hard when it’s your first time. The night before was unfortunately a classic Instagram disappointment: looked amazing online, food was just okay – more show than substance. Tonight at Krebsegaarden was the complete opposite. You immediately feel that this is run by two people who truly understand their craft. The food was outstanding, the wine pairing absolutely mind-blowing – perfectly matched, exciting, and thoughtful. And the cheese course… unreal. Honestly one of the best cheese experiences we’ve had in a long time. You can taste the love, experience, and passion in every dish. No unnecessary hype, no gimmicks – just honest, high-level cooking with soul. Thank you for making my wife’s birthday so special. A true highlight for us – we will definitely be back. Oliver & Lisa
