We had a seafood platter with lobster. Food was delightful. Seafood was very fresh: lobster with yolk and most juicy claws. Staff is extremely friendly.
We opted for the 5-course surprise degustation menu. The food itself had some nice highlights, but the overall pacing, communication, and service left room for improvement. The meal started with a very small first course that felt much more like a light appetizer than a full course. Things got confusing when the next plates arrived; the second and third courses were served together without anyone informing us. Because of this, we were quite surprised when the dessert arrived right after what we thought was only the fourth course. Clearer communication from the staff regarding how the menu was being paced would have easily solved this confusion and made it possible for us to balance the wine. The other dishes included a seafood course and a well-prepared fish course. While the food had potential, the service felt lacking. I have absolutely no issue filling our own wine glasses when a restaurant is busy and rushing around. However, when you are left to pour your own drinks while two waitresses are constantly standing right behind you chatting, it feels inattentive. With a bit more focus on front-of-house communication and proactive service, this could be a much better dining experience.
Excellent restaurant in the centre of Copenhagen. We walked in without a reservation and were met by very friendly and professional staff. Atmosphere, table setting, location and food were excellent! We will be back next time we are in Copenhagen.
We had an amazing dining experience in Copenhagen. Every dish stood out both in presentation and flavor. The seafood was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked; starters and mains were close to flawless. The service team was attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly, making us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening. The dessert was the highlight of the night. With its presentation, texture, and taste, it truly felt like something from a Michelin-starred restaurant. From start to finish, it was a refined and memorable experience. Zeleste was an experience I will not forget. The waiter, Liva, was truly extraordinary. She had full knowledge of the dishes, fresh and showed great character and personality. I would very much appreciate having Liva as my waiter again the next time I visit Zeleste. The food was exceptional. I recently dined at another restaurant in Copenhagen, and it was simply not at the same level, either culinarily or in terms of service. This was truly an great performance. I can only highly recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant Zeleste. Thank you to the entire team, both the kitchen and front of house, for making the visit so extraordinary.
