We were walking by, popped inside for a look and ended up getting a plate. This spot feels like someone’s home and you’re invited to the buffet. Super cozy environment.
Reading the other reviews made me think Gordon Ramsay was serving a 5-star meal at McDonalds prices in the middle of Christiania. But honestly, Grønsagen is just an average cafeteria-style establishment with decent food. You get exactly what you pay for, nothing less or more. There are similarly priced sit-down restaurants in Copenhagen; I don't feel like this is a must-visit hidden gem or anything like that. I do think it's worthwhile to visit if you aren't too hungry or looking for a light supper, since you can get the small plate for one, or split the big plate between two, and save yourself the hassle of packing up leftovers to-go.
We stumbled into this place, and completely fell in love with it! An amazing concept for the food (you can get 3 or 5 components as you choose) a beautiful, homely atmosphere and amazing staff! The food is super delicious, like a warm hug from your grandma, and they know how to use salt! Would recommend to anyone!
What a hidden gem! The food was so delicious, the service was so warm and welcoming, and the vibes were very cozy. Would definitely recommend! We loved the rice and lentils, but everything else was also very good. The chocolate chip cookies were a perfect end to the meal.
While we were walking through Christiania we saw this restaurant and the smell of it captivated us immediately! It is a cafeteria style restaurant where you can choose from several options such as different salads and meat dishes. Every dish was seasoned in such a great way! I highly recommend going to Gronsagen while visiting Copenhagen
