Quite charming rooftop restaurant on top of the upmarket department store Illums. The interior is more elegant than the terrace which can look rather shabby at times, especially since the, all too young wait staff, totally fail to keep it decent and refuse to pick up fallen paper napkins etc from the floor, even though they pass by them several times empty-handed. The good is so much better than the service, thankfully. Really fresh and tasty seafood which has been prepared with care and knowledge.
We had "A taste of Skagen" and it was really good. I'm pretty sure the great sunny weather, the amazing outdoor seating and the company, all helped to be a 5 star experience. We did have a little trouble getting the waiters attention, but when we got it, they were really nice and helpful. When the weather is good, the outdoor seating at Illum is amazing, the view over the top off Copenhagen is stunning. Food looked good on the plank, everything was well prepared, all tasted great. Price fits what you get.

I’ve ordered the seafood platter(The Originale) for 1pax,fries and dessert(Chocolate mousse). It was enough for me and my partner sharing. Our favourite have to be the mussels. It’s so flavourful with butter n herbs sauce. The atmosphere is amazing with the option to dine on their terraces overlooking the shopping district. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for nice seafood experience.
Excellent food! The salmon and the fish of the day were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. I am gluten intolerant, and everything was carefully adapted for me, it was wonderful. Special thanks to Louis for the great, attentive service. An excellent experience, we will definitely be back!
