We had the vegan tasting menu. They were able to make it gluten free which was a fantastic surprise. We'd never expect them to be able to. All the food was great, the drinks the same and staff was really friendly It's an easy recommendation to anyone wanting delicious Thai food in Copenhagen
Overall, although this Thai restaurant holds relatively high ratings, my dining experience showed a noticeable gap between expectation and execution. First, the flavor profile tends to be rather one-dimensional, with saltiness dominating most dishes. While there are subtle sweet notes, the overall balance feels underdeveloped and does not fully reflect the layered complexity of authentic Thai cuisine. Secondly, many dishes resemble Thai street food in style, but lack a distinctive character or culinary signature that makes them memorable. For the soups and curries, the richness is insufficient, and the coconut essence is rather muted, missing the creamy depth typically associated with Thai cooking. As for the chicken dishes, the texture is on the dry side with a coarse mouthfeel. They are filling, but fall short in both flavor depth and juiciness. Overall, this restaurant did not meet expectations, and I would not particularly recommend it as a top choice for Thai cuisine.
We had a lunch at Wokshop in the city center and the experience was very positive overall. While it is a successful chain, the atmosphere feels special. It is not exactly high-end, but the moment you walk inside, you feel like it is because of the beautiful decoration and the way they use light to create a great vibe. The food We ordered a big variety of dishes and everything was very delicious. The beef skewers were a standout; tender and juicy exactly as they should be. We also had two wok dishes, one with shrimp and one with beef, and you could really tell all the ingredients were fresh. It is interesting to know that the restaurant actually holds a "Thai Select" award from the Thai government, which is only given to places that maintain high standards for authentic flavors and traditional ingredients. The Service I have to give an exceptional mention to our waiter. The restaurant made a huge mistake by having only one waiter working the entire floor for Sunday lunch. This should never happen, and he was forced to run everywhere to keep up with all the tables. I felt very sorry for him, but he handled the situation with extreme professionalism. He managed everything and the smile never left his face the whole time. Hats off to him personally for correcting the restaurant's error and making the experience so positive despite being so understaffed. Summary Overall a 4/5. The food is fresh and tasty, the interior is lovely, and the waiter’s individual dedication was truly impressive. It is a very reliable spot for a meal in the center of the city.
Admittedly, I'm not a fan of chain restaurants. But if that's what the young crowd wants, then that's where we go. We are greeted by a large, elegant interior, a little empty on a January Sunday afternoon, but so nicely quiet. The armchairs at the tables are comfortable but would be more appropriate in a whisky lounge. The selection is excellent and the service friendly and fast. The food is really good and the portions generous. The price-performance ratio is very good. Absolutely recommended for a first visit to a Thai restaurant. There is something for everyone and the spiciness of the dishes is very moderate.
Had such a great experience at Wok Shop in Copenhagen today. The food was genuinely amazing — full of flavour, fresh, and beautifully cooked. A special thank you to Tina Leff, who looked after us so well. Friendly, professional, and made us feel really welcome. If you come here, I highly recommend the dry chicken curry, crispy chicken, and the beef tenderloin skewers — every dish was outstanding. Also a big plus for Muslim diners: the chicken and some of the beef options are halal, which made it even better for us. Really happy we found this place. Great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
