Best restaurant I've ever been! Better than Michelin-started restaurants in NYC and Rome I've been to. Every single course had layers that touch different parts of the palate and the brain ❤️
We had a fantastic evening at the Pescatarian. Particular highlights were the variation of apero snacks, the gold caviar and the hamachi. We left wondering why they have not been awarded a Michelin star yet...
We had a wonderful 4-course lunch at The Pescatarian. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the overall meal was a stellar 9/10 experience that I highly recommend. We started with oysters, and the one paired with elderflower & yuzu pearls was exceptionally fresh and unique. Do not skip ordering the buttermilk bread (25 kr); it is beautifully rich, fluffy, and croissant-like. The "Hamachi" (which is actually Hiramasa from Hanstholm) is my favorite dish. The lightly salted, firm fish cooked tataki style, paired beautifully with a sweet, refreshing coconut and yuzu sauce. The only minor footnotes were a few inconsistently cooked potato pieces in the mackerel dish, and a slow kitchen tempo before the main cod course. Because of the wait, we started getting full before the cod arrived. The cod dish itself felt a bit overly complex and heavy, for me. I would have preferred a a splash of sea buckthorn or sea vegetables than the earthy morel with shiitake stuffing. However, the exceptional flavors of other courses, friendly service and cosy environment far outweighed these minor issues. It is a fantastic dining spot in Copenhagen that I would recommend in a heartbeat.
We had a wonderful lunch at The Pescatarian. We started with oysters, which were very fresh and absolutely delicious, setting a great tone for the meal. We then opted for the Fast Four menu, which was perfectly balanced—leaving us satisfied without feeling too full. The cod was a standout, cooked to perfection with great texture and flavor. I also really enjoyed their sourdough—tasty, light, and beautifully fluffy. The crew was very friendly and took the time to explain each dish, adding a thoughtful touch to the experience. Overall, a great spot for a relaxed meal with high-quality cooking.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about this restaurant including chefs in Copenhagen. However, I don’t think it lived up to my expectations. I had emailed previously about a kids menu option which they said they noted but then when we got there, the waitress didn’t tell us about the fish and chips option until I asked again. Then she also forgot that we had ordered oysters. Maybe it’s because our table is late @7:30pm, each course took a long time to come out. I had four courses and it took me 2 hours. The langoustine tartare was good paired with refreshing jus. Main course was decent. Dessert was also just decent. I wanted to love this restaurant, but I think it was just okay
