Restaurant Maven
Copenhagen

Sweet server. We sat outside on a lovely day for lunch and 4 of us had smørrebrod sandos. Refreshing elderflower and lemonade, good orange wine. The second rounds of sandwiches took a while to arrive but I would definitely return here!
An unplanned solo visit to Maven for an early dinner exceeded all expectations. From the genuinely friendly and attentive service, to impeccable interior (inside an old church!) and absolutely delicious food (the compliment bread and butter is to die for). Kudos to the team - I could see they have a good internal culture and truly enjoy working there. One small area of improvement: while the music was nice, the playlist was way too short (~10 songs looped). I didn’t mind because I love Olivia Dean 😁 But it can be tiring and a bit annoying. Nevertheless, adding Maven to the list of my favorite places and will certainly come back!
Very cozy place in Central Copenhagen. We were desperately looking for a restaurant for a night we didn't plan ahead, and found this little gem that wasn't on our radar. Staff was very friendly and helpful, had great recommendations for food and wines and service was relatively quick without feeling like we were expedited out of the restaurant asap. Food was absolutely delightful, we had the tasting menu and each plate was really carefully thought through, prepared and presented. All of that for a very reasonable price in CPH
This restaurant is located within the grounds of an old church, which has now been converted into a gallery. The setting is quite cozy and has a unique atmosphere. The staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The beef dish was very dry and tough. The fish was acceptable, but the sauce lacked flavor and aroma. The beef tartare was bland and uninspiring. Considering that the prices are similar to other restaurants in the area, the overall experience did not feel worth it.
Restaurant Maven sits beautifully beside a church, and on a winter evening the soft lights create a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s a lovely setting for dinner in Copenhagen. The service was attentive and professional throughout the evening. The dishes were well prepared and thoughtfully presented. My husband tried the beef tartare — beautifully done, though he personally isn’t used to raw beef, so it wasn’t quite to his taste. Our child especially enjoyed the fish and chips, which were crispy and comforting. Overall, a pleasant and atmospheric dining experience.
