This cafe is so super cute. The food is delicious and priced incredibly well. The employees are all incredibly nice and speak a variety of languages. The menu is not extensive but everything is made in house and fresh in the morning including the pastries and bread. Definitely recommend.
So, AI is pretty terrible for a lot of things, but I figured, if they are going to cram it in *everything*, might as well take some small pleasure from it. In Copenhagen, I could just go to my local chain coffee house. But instead, asked "real tea, small business, unpretentious but good breakfast, and lgbtq+ friendly in walking distance from my hotel" Which is how I found the lovely Next Door Cafe. And it was everything I wanted it to be. As I told one of the owners, "my new favorite" It's small, sure, but cozy not cramped. All the tables have glass tops underneath which are so many handwritten notes from past guests who equally loved it. And it has the wonderful atmosphere, which I'm hard to describe other than cluttered with love. The seating is mostly (not all) big tables you just sit with folks. When you order, they give you little table trinkets so the efficient staff can spot you, with a few seats both inside and outside against the windows. And the food is just perfect. I haven't had pancakes as good in years, the bacon and eggs are this masterful sweetspot of done that hit all my happy buttons. What struck me the most is that being here gives you the feeling that you became a guest actor in the owners' successful dream and they are glad to have you here.
A place that feels less like a cafe and more like someone’s lovingly crafted little universe. The decoration is full of personality, details and warmth - the kind of place where you immediately notice that everything was created with care instead of copied from a design catalog. Great brunch, excellent coffee, fresh spremuta and plenty of delicious options at surprisingly fair prices. Everything is served in a special atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than planned. You can feel that this place is personally run with passion, attention and genuine hospitality. In a world full of standardized cafes, this one still has a soul. Five stars without hesitation.
Visiting from Philly and celebrating our son’s 30th birthday. Fell into this amazing restaurant. There are 6 of us and they brought us down to the cellar where a very cool party room is. Then, they offered a family style breakfast. So very Danish and extremely filling and delicious. Another patron had a BLT and it looked delicious.
In the last hours of our trip, we spent some chillout time here before our flight from Kopenhagen. The staff are very sincere and have great communication skills. They even put our suitcase in a corner out of the way, so we could have a relaxing time. we had club sandwich, juicy ingredients in a hearty bread; bacon/egss and pancakes, a filling comfort food. the fresh juice -squeezed attractively on the spot by a staff- was a really fun touch! After the breakfast we had some warm desserts with coffee, both were perfectly prepared. we added our own little touch to the large glass-topped table filled with notes and memories. It is such a charming cafe with a great vibe, highly recommended.
