House of Amber was founded in 1933. House of Amber is one of the largest and oldest producers of amber jewelry. In 1994 the House of Amber Museum opened their first shop in Copenhagen with several new locations opening up soon after. The House of Amber Museum is situated in a charming house from 1606 in Nyhavn, above the House of Amber Store.

The House of Amber Museum has many interesting items to look at, such as: Amber containing algae and flowers.

Opening hours in the summer is 10 AM – 6:30 PM

Opening hours in the winter is 10 AM – 5:30 PM
