Directions to Gentlemens Affair
Gentlemen's Affair is high fashion, retro inspired clothing with an edge. The focus is on trendy styles and an innovative denim collection. The style is sexy and sophisticated as the name suggests but the cut is always feminine.
Gentlemen's Affair is particularly well-known for the hot pants and skirts and sexy jumpsuits. Visitors to central Copenhagen looking to track down some of Gentlemen's Affair's forward-thinking fashion will be able to visit the brand's concept store, which opened in February 2008. Located in the hip area of Pilestraede, the shop was designed by architect Lars Peter Hammel and features heavy beige velvet curtains and soft black fabrics combined with a blinging Italian disco interior full of gold-rimmed mirrors and pastel furniture.
It's the perfect place to peruse Gentlemen's Affair's range. The current head designer Lise Nyborg Pederson splits her time between Naples, Italy and Copenhagen. This gives the designs a combination of Scandinavian simplicity and Italian glam, giving it a more international flavor than a lot of Danish fashion. Gentlemen's Affair is entirely produced in Europe, and has been worn by such celebrities as Liv Tyler, Helena Christensen, and has been in Marie Claire and Frame magazine.
For a more international take on Danish fashion, visit Gentlemen's Affair in Pilestraede.
