Directions to Restaurant Viva
Restaurant Viva is a beautiful old barge turned into a restaurant located at the harbor of Copenhagen, near Langebro and opposite Christians Brygge, and Chef Paulo Guimaraes, known from his cooking in a Danish TV program, has been running the show since 2003. The Restaurant has been recommended by the Guide of Michelin the last 5 years.
Paulo and his team has created a restaurant with an informal and friendly atmosphere, an interior with wooden decks, huge windows and lots of lights; and a menu based on Danish and Mediterranean cuisine, mainly shell food.
Start a perfect evening with a drink on deck and enjoy the beautiful view of the Opera house of Copenhagen, before seating at one of the tables by the railings, with the water just below you.
The evening menu varies, depending on the seafood of the season, and usually consists of traditional but creative culinary creations of lobsters, crabs, oysters, mussels and prawns; like Grilled king crab with soy lime and herb butter or Mussels with vegetables, parsley and garlic. In addition the restaurant offers a variety of meat courses.
Restaurant Viva has space for 80-90 dining guests inside and about 60 more on the deck when the weather permits. The boat is also possible to book for private parties, special occasions or events.
The restaurant accepts most credit cards, but foreign cards will be charged with an additional service fee of 4 %.
