Kokkeriet
Copenhagen
Serving modern European cuisine with a touch of Danish tradition and finery, Kokkeriet is the proud holder of a Michelin star.
Located just short walk from the center of Copenhagen in the charming old streets, this brightly lit and open restaurant serves some of Denmark's finest gourmet cuisine. The restaurant can seat up to 55 in the main room and a further 20 on a large table towards the back.
The area, where Kokkeriet is located, is well worth a visit, featuring characteristic houses painted bright yellow that were originally erected to house the Danish army in the fifteenth century.
In keeping with all great restaurants the menu is based on seasonality and the availability of fresh local ingredients, meaning that it changes monthly. Knowledgeable and friendly staff give just the right amount of attention, offering wines to compliment the range of dishes. Some of France and Europe's best are on offer, and beer is supplied by prestigious Danish brewery Brøckhouse.
Dishes range from fried monkfish with octopus, seaweed and ginger; to glazed calf cheeks with sweetbread, onions and salted foie gras. The average price for a dinner is around 650 DKK.
For true fans of Kokkeriet's fine cuisine, they offer a cooking school and professional catering services.
Customers are advised to book in advance; online booking is available.
