Directions to Coffee and Vinyl
Copenhagen is not short of great cafes, and each one needs something unique in order to attract and keep its loyal clientele.
Sort Kaffe og vinyl (Coffee & Vinyl) has something unique. It's a record shop, and a coffee shop. The coffee is excellent and the vinyl is discerning, meaning any time of the day or night you'll find it filled with music and coffee loving Vesterbro hipsters.
Vesterbro has cleaned up its image in recent years but a lot of the old edginess still remains, which is what draws people to the area. Guests to Sort Kaffe og Vinyl can enjoy some truly exceptional freshly roasted coffee, as well as quirky and cool records. There are snacks, too, including home made cakes and pastries. There is a good variety of records available from most genres you'd care to name, but don't expect to find the latest chart-toppers here. More like quirky b-sides and underground records
For some of us, sitting back with a steaming hot coffee and a sweet cake while listening to our favourite tunes sounds like a little slice of heaven, which is how a lot of people feel about Sort Kaffe og Vinyl.
The coffee and record shop is very small indeed and doesn't have a bathroom, but you aren't there for the luxuries. The cafe's owner Christian likes nothing more than to prepare coffee and talk about music, so if you have some time to spare and a hankering for coffee and music, head on down to Sort Kaffe og Vinyl in Vesterbro.
