Café Krasnapolsky

Cafe Krasnapolsky is a cafe, restaurant and nightclub that has been on Vestergade for over 25 years, making it one of the oldest eating and drinking establishments still standing in Copenhagen. It was started by cuisine and drink enthusiasts and entrepreneurs and has since been driven more by restaurateurs. Cafe Krasnapolsky is most proud of the atmosphere it delivers, as well as the reasonably priced, great food.

In over 25 years, the walls of Cafe Krasnapolsky have seen a lot of action, from hushed conversations over cappuccinos to dancing late into the night. Affectingly known by locals as Kras or Krasna, it has been a focal point of the local scene for a number of years, and has developed a reputation for good service and good quality.

With all the cafes that have sprung up in recent years, Kras sees its success relies on a good selection, fair prices, high quality, and great service.

Cafe Krasnapolsky received a facelift in 2009, as well as some new management direction, meaning it is now primed and ready to deliver healthy and generous portions of food at a reasonable price, served with a smile.

They claim they have the best coffee in Copenhagen, and there is a wide selection served up in the modern and clean interior. In the evenings, choose from a number of dishes inspired by international cuisine like the sirloin steak in béarnaise sauce, lamb krone with red wine and cherry tomatoes, or duck breast in a creamy pepper sauce.

As the night arrives, the atmosphere changes in Cafe Krasnapolsky, and it becomes a nightclub with a relatively young crowd of partygoers swigging drinks deals and dancing to DJ-spun tunes until early in the morning.
