“Once upon a time there was fine dining… then came Punk Royale.” Whether you agree with that or not, the restaurant certainly delivers on its promise of doing things differently. The evening was playful, loud, and completely unpretentious, with every course arriving as part of an experience rather than simply a meal. Every bite was delicious, and we left having had a genuinely great night. Punk Royale may not be conventional fine dining, but that’s precisely the point.
I only have a few photos… because this is one of those places you simply have to experience for yourself. ;) I had no idea where we were going that evening, so Punk Royale was a complete surprise, and I’m glad it was. The food is exceptional and fully deserves its Michelin stars. Every course is creative, unique, and beautifully prepared. But what really makes this place unforgettable is the atmosphere. It’s something you can’t explain without spoiling the experience. The staff are amazing and make the whole evening even more special. If you’re visiting Copenhagen, I highly recommend it. And if possible… don’t read too much beforehand. The surprise is part of what makes Punk Royale so unforgettable - in my opinion. ;)
Well, that was fun. I'd been recommended Punk Royale without really knowing anything about it, and I'm glad I went in blind. I took some colleagues over from London and we had an absolutely brilliant time. It's unlike anywhere else I've been — unique, original, entertaining, and completely unapologetic in what it does. The experience is memorable from start to finish, but importantly, the food more than lives up to the theatre. At this price point, you'd expect exceptional fine dining, and that's exactly what you get. A truly unforgettable evening. Highly recommended.
Possibly the best meal and experience I have ever had. Genuinely could not fault it in anyway. Came with my partner while we were on holiday and we were super excited to try it out. It turned out it was the first day of their new menu and every single course stood out, I would love to come back next time we end up in Copenhagen! Also they took care of allergens and dietary preferences exceptionally, with my partner not feeling like her dishes were an after thought but had the same dedication and passion put into them as the rest of the menu. Outstanding service, super interactive and fun, genuinely can’t wait to come back, hopefully sooner rather than later!!
This is quite the experience. Not at all for everyone and you need to be ready for something else. Great location in the city Center - feels like entering into a Club. We were a couple and I’d probably revisit as a group of 4-6 friends in the mood for a special evening. One guest got semi naked, I got my nipples waxed, we had vodka from a syringe… so then you know. BUT we have to say - awesome cool service and the food was very very good.
