The food was acceptable to good. But the waiter, after delivering me the wrong dish, stated that he is certain that this is what I ordered. Even after showing him my choice on the menue he was sure what I ordered. Didn't know that I am suffering from dementia alrwady...
A true local gem! Nytorv is just a block or so off of major streets, so it's a little quieter, with a lovely atmosphere. A British couple told me their children live in Copenhagen and they eat at Nytorv every time they visit, and I can see why! Everything was delicious. I particularly recommend the salmon and halibut main courses, the fish are seasoned and cooked perfectly. If you're looking for traditional Danish cuisine, don't miss it!
Great spot with delicious food at a fantastic location. Perhaps a touch expensive but not too out of the ordinary for Copenhagen. A big shout-out to our waitress Mariana for being an absolute delight and bringing a wonderful atmosphere (: The risotto, tomato soup, and creme brulee were all gluten free and recommended!
Restaurant & Café Nytorv located at Nytorv 15, 1450 København, is a wonderful spot in the heart of Copenhagen offering a warm and welcoming dining experience. The ambience is cozy and beautifully decorated, with all indoor seating that makes it a perfect place to relax, especially during colder months. What makes it even more special is their attention to detail they decorate the entire restaurant according to festivals and seasons. When we visited close to Halloween, the place was filled with fun and spooky decorations like webs, bats, spiders, and themed lights, creating a delightful atmosphere. The menu offers a good variety of Italian and seafood dishes, and every dish is flavorful and well-presented. You must try the lamb, chicken, salmon, prawns, and shrimp dishes, all cooked to perfection. They also serve a good selection of beer, coffee, wine, and bottled juices to pair with your meal. The staff is polite, friendly, and honest they even recommend dishes based on your preferences or where you’re from, ensuring you enjoy the best flavors possible. Prices are fair for the location and quality. They accept cash and cards, and VAT bills are provided. A must-visit restaurant in central Copenhagen!
