True authentic Thai cuisine found in Copenhagen, so far the best Thai food I have tried in Europe! Love the food so much, portion is generous and service is five star. Highly recommended!
The food here is really authentic, and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive. They were very considerate and made an effort to accommodate my needs, which I really appreciated. I came here a few times during my trip to Copenhagen, and each visit was consistently great. One small detail I noticed was that the flowers on the tables were changed regularly, which felt like a thoughtful touch and showed how much care they put into running the place.
Absolutely delicious and very authentic Thai food! Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients and the perfect balance of sweet, sour, spicy, and savory — just like in Thailand. It was so good that the two of us ended up ordering enough food for four people — and even added an extra bowl of rice! If you can handle spicy food, don’t hesitate to order the spiciest level — it’s similar to the heat of Thai bird’s eye chilies.
I went to Bangkok Canteen on a random Thursday evening because I wanted to try something new. We were greeted by the friendliest staff – super sweet, very accommodating, and clearly keen to make sure we had a nice evening. The menu is small, with only a handful of dishes to choose from, but I actually love that. You can tell they put real care into the dishes they do offer. I much prefer a place that focuses on a few things done well, rather than one of those huge menu cards where you have no idea what’s actually good. Also the prices are extremely decent. We both ordered the Pad Thai, which is one of my favourite Thai dishes. You can choose between three spice levels (or none), and I went for the second level. It was really delicious, and the spice was spot on. I also loved the thin omelette wrapped around the whole dish. I would definitely recommend stopping by.
I ordered pad thai. Tastes great with a hint of smokiness from the wok. In my opinion it was well seasoned with a good portion of prawns. Usually pad thai comes with a crushed peanuts, but here the peanut served separately. The noodle felt a bit dry to my preference. Overall taste was good and above my expectation after tasting several asian food in Copenhagen. Owner was super friendly. Always happy to dine in the restaurant with nice hospitality. Price was reasonable for Copenhagen.
