Reviews
The hotel is right next to the train so this is an awful inconvenience for me since I am here for a restful vacation . The room has just the basics , it’s small but the bed is comfortable and clean and the television picks up local channels. The shower door is a flimsy piece of plastic which is not safe if you have balance problems like I do. The staff is helpful.
Conveniently located close to Oesterport train station. Modern hotel with good sized room, with double bed which is very comfortable. The room was very clean, a little warm so we turned off the wall radiator and open the window. Bathroom is compact, with walk-in shower. Water temperature and pressure is good. Body gel and hand wash provided. House keeping available daily. Our room (#209) is NOT on the side of the train tracks, but everything still rattle, you feel the vibration and hear the loud rumble when trains go past. We got used to it after first night, but if you need absolute silence to sleep, this hotel is NOT for you. Wifi is patchy, quite slow at times and some TV channels suffers from buffering. Breakfast is excellent, cold meats, cheeses, breads, rolls, pastry, pancakes and couple of hot options (egg with bacon or egg vegan style), fruits, cereals, biscuits. Two coffee machines, tea and cocoa powder is available. There are signs asking guests to return used dishes but most guests either didn’t see the signs or just simply ignore it. Staff comes around collecting the breakfast vouchers, perhaps they can remind guests of their obligations to return used dishes. During our 4days stay, we see only 1 or 2 staff working breakfast so dirty dishes takes a while to be cleared from the tables especially at busy times.
We stayed as two adults with one baby and had a very pleasant experience overall. Although we had booked a room on the railway side through our agency, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a quieter side, which we really appreciated. The location is excellent for the price. The hotel is right across from Østerport Station, and within around 100 meters you can find the metro, bus stops, trains including the train to Malmö, a supermarket, 7-Eleven, Joe & The Juice, and almost everything you may need during your stay. The hotel also accepted and safely stored our packages before we arrived, which made things much easier for us. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious enough, and a baby cot was provided free of charge. In our room, the sofa could also be opened and used as a bed, which may be useful for families with older children. The room did not have air conditioning, but since we visited during a cooler season, the room temperature was comfortable and we did not need heating or air conditioning. The main downside was that there was no mini fridge in the room. This was inconvenient for us because we had no cold storage space for our baby’s food and had to buy fresh food from the supermarket every day. Adding mini fridges to the rooms would be a great improvement, especially for families with babies. There is also no elevator. Since the hotel only has two floors, using the stairs with a stroller was manageable, but an elevator would definitely make the stay more comfortable. Because the hotel only has two floors, we did not find it too difficult to carry our stroller up and down the stairs, and other guests or staff were willing to help when needed. However, guests using wheelchairs may not experience the same level of comfort or accessibility, so this hotel may not be the best option for them. Breakfast can be purchased from reception upon request, but we did not try it, so I cannot comment on it. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, we were very satisfied with our stay. The excellent location, helpful staff, comfortable room, and family-friendly touches made it a very good choice for us.
we had an amazing stay! staff were super friendly and helped us with train times. our room was spacious, clean and quiet. great location near lots of green space!
Yes, the smallest rooms are small. Totally fine for my child and me. We were right on the train line and I wasn’t bothered at all. I booked on credit card points and it was an easy check-in (always a concern with third party booking). Parking was very tight and limited but a decent price for location. The location is why we booked. Easy scenic walks to everywhere we wanted to go.
