Kastrup airport (CPH) is a domestic and international airport, located only 8 kilometres from the city centre on the island of Amager. The airport serves as a centre for most flight in Scandinavia, a transfer airport for flight traffic between other countries and national and regional airports in Scandinavia and the Baltic with over 264.000 landings and take-offs and 21,5 million passengers in 2008.

Kastrup airport is a relatively small airport that is easy to navigate through and usually lines move fast and time spent waiting minimal. Once you come through security you have a selection of shops (some duty free), good restaurants and a wireless Internet connection available.

Arriving at Kastrup airport
Due to the small size of the airport you are usually out in the arrival hall very quickly. There are several ways to get from the airport to the city. Taxi´s are available outside the building and will transport you anywhere in the capital area. Metro train runs to and from the airport regularly and the trip takes around 15 minutes to one of the downtown Metro stations. If you plan to rent a car while visiting, you can pick it up at the airport where all the major car rental companies have their outlets. We highly recommend that you use our car booking system if you plan to rent a car in Copenhagen.

Departing from Kastrup airport
It´s easy and painless leaving Kastrup airport. Once you arrive, you can look up your check in desk on the big monitors inside. If you have to return a rental car, please be advised that rental cars are returned in the car park right outside the airport.
