Year-Round Outdoor Skiing at CopenHill in Copenhagen

CopenHill is an active clean energy power plant in Copenhagen featuring a rooftop skiing slope with an environmentally friendly plastic surface, suitable for skiers of all levels.

Highlights

  • Ski outdoors year-round on environmentally friendly plastic
  • Experience nature atop an active power plant
  • Enjoy panoramic views of Copenhagen from 85 meters high

Description

CopenHill transforms the rooftop of a power plant into a unique skiing slope open all year. Instead of snow, visitors ski on a plastic surface designed to mimic the technique of snow skiing, though the feel differs slightly. The rooftop is 85 meters above ground, offering extensive views across Copenhagen.

After checking in at the ski rental station, you will receive your rental gear, including helmet, skis, boots, and poles, as well as a lift pass. CopenHill is divided into three ski levels: the upper black/red piste for advanced skiers, and the middle and bottom blue/green pistes for beginners. The facility also includes a slalom course, a freestyle park, and a designated children’s area.

The lift system consists of four lifts: three magic carpet lifts on the lower sections and a plate lift on the steep upper slope. It is recommended to start slowly to adapt safely to the plastic surface.
