Wok shop

Copenhagen

Don’t let the sign fool you; this is not a regular take away. “Wokshop” opened in Ny Adelgade in 2000 and has become a popular and trendy spot, well known for its superb Thai food and generous portions.

You can either take the food with you or sit down in the small, minimalist and Japan inspired restaurant. The impression “less is more” might describe the interior design and the physical space of this place, but it is far from the truth when it comes to the exotic dishes. “Wokshop” serves traditional Thai courses like samosa, chicken satay, wonton, noodle and curry dishes; made of the best ingredients and carefully cooked in the “real” Thai way.

This is not the place for a romantic dinner; you sit on wooden benches and there isn’t much room for privacy. Instead, “Wokshop” is the perfect spot for busy city people to meet for lunch, a shopping break or a to grab a quick bite to eat before going to the movies. Try the Thai beer Singha with the meal, to make the exotic food experience even more complete

The prices are relatively cheap, but higher than the usual take away and most credit cards are accepted. The “Wokshop” management has opened a second “Wokshop” restaurant in Østerbro and plan to open more in the future.
