We originally found out about this place in "where to eat good breakfasts" posts but we ended up trying this place later in the day, and i must say, suuuch a good dinner. The portions were big and filling, the flavors were impeccable, the workers were warm and one more thing i must mention, their matcha is the best ive tried in like 4 places in Denmark. For all matcha lovers, this is the place. They do the whisking and the matcha is great quality, just like a matcha should be served, not overpowered by any syrups like ive tasted in other places. Would come back definitely, for the delicious dinner and especially for the matcha
What a cozy spot for a fresh, delicious breakfast. We got açaí and porridge bowls and kids and adults all enjoyed!
Food was great and better than I originallyexpected after getting the rundown on the way there. They were able to work around my food sensitivities. There was enough seating inside, plus a couple tables outside. Staff was very helpful.
My experience today was far from good. Although the food is good, this is not enough. First, all the tables were dirty, like they never clean them. Second, they forgot our coffee because everyone (five people at the bar) was talking instead of caring about the place. And last, when they served us the bowls, they put the spoon directly on the dirty table. No napkin, no nothing, just the spoon on a table used by other customers (where all the phones, purses, newspapers, and so on were). I mean, disgusting. I don't want to go into details: all the staff were on their phones, and no one was washing their hands before putting their hands (no gloves) directly on the food. Good food, but sad place.
I am a retired Red Seal Chef, I do not usually eat out while travelling and I am not easy at restaurants. The restaurant I frequented years ago in Copenhagen has closed so I thought I would give Grød a try. Oh my glorious god! What a good choice! Atmosphere was chill and I was able to get work done. The entire place smelled delicious and was extremely clean. Not to mention warm with a cozy at home feel. The food was hands down some of the best food I have ever eaten when travelling, and I have travelled a lot. I had the barley risotto, so easy to mess up but this, this was glorious. Full of robust mushroom flavour, perfectly cooked barley, the exact amount of cheese and herbs. A very delightful pallet. I highly recommend this place 11/10.
