The barman was rude and unhelpful. He mocked me when I tried ordering a beer in Danish. I speak English but at least I made an effort to learn a few words of Danish. All other bars and restaurants I visited in Copenhagen understood my Danish but the barman at Luke’s just pulled a face and responded in gibberish until I told him I knew he understood me perfectly. Then he replied in English and served me after rolling his eyes. Not a good way to encourage tourists to spend in your bar! Edited 16 May 2026 - I’ve added a star to reflect the helpful response from the bar owner, Luke, to my review, which was a great example of customer service. Future customers should make their own minds up and not judge the bar by the behaviour of one individual.

A perfect spot for rock music, great cocktails, and quality beer. We went in hoping to see some Vikings, but no luck this time ;) Still, the vibe and drinks more than made up for it.
