A great place to try a variety of smørrebrød. She took us in the kitchen and told us what each one was. We tried six different types. Each one was just 46 kroner. Definitely a local joint.

Nice bar in the centre of the city. Apparently favoured by the creative set but one thing is certain- very popular. Definitely worth a visit . Friendly service. 116 kroner (£13.70 GBP) for a large Tuborg beer and a glass of Primitivo red wine so decent prices for this city.
Palæ Bar is a true hidden gem in Copenhagen. A classic Danish bar serving simple, traditional food at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is warm, cosy and unpretentious, with a local charm that feels authentic rather than touristy. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a beer and a proper Danish meal without any fuss. A great spot if you’re looking for something genuinely local, affordable and full of character. Highly recommended if you want to experience real Copenhagen hospitality.
Great little hidden gem in Copenhagen. We loved this was a place the locals went to. The fact we met 2 locals while having a drink was what made this experience fantastic. What was supposed to be an hour stop and a bevvy on our walk to our hotel ended up being 3 hours and a whole lotta fun !
