The K stands for owner Kirsten Holm, a connoisseur of fine drinks and cocktails.
A particular favorite of hers, and specialty of the bar, is the timeless Martini. K-Bar offers over a dozen tongue-twisting variations on the theme, including their signature K-Bar Martini and a sweet Lychee Martini. Their blueberry caipirinha is said to be particularly divine, too. Other drinks are on offer, with an excellent selection of champagnes for toasting that special occasion.
The quality of the cocktails, which are themselves things of beauty--all fresh ingredients and quality components--, ensures the clientele are discerning and loyal. In fact it is said to be the haunt of Copenhagen's top chefs and other restaurant owners, which has to say something for the quality of what is on offer.
The bar is intimate and laid back, meaning that it can sometimes be difficult to get a seat or to find your own space, but the atmosphere and the drinks make it all worthwhile in the end.
