Nice place to be and watch the world go by. Graduation had just started so the number of party trucks going by added to the atmosphere.
Was looking for live music club or pub around city, then just jumped in when I hear the guitar 🎸. 1 guy was singing and playing. Nice cozy place on Thursday eve, full of people and tourists ofc most of them 🤪 including me!, met nice people In there we hung up all together sing and even danced 😝, and guy who’s singing was funny and friendly person. Thanks for the Eve.
I intended to take a proper photo of my cider for this review… but the problem is it was too good and now the glass is suspiciously empty. Live music, great conversation with my wife, and the kind of atmosphere where time (and cider levels) quietly disappear. Clearly worth five stars—my nearly empty glass is the evidence.
With the 'Irish' and 'English' pubs around the corner, this 'Scottish' one is definitely the nicest in the (holy?) trinity. For starters, the beer was cheaper. (Though the whisky was very expensive, but worth it, so my companion tells me). Live music (of sorts: a guy with a guitar, singing all the favourites) and a lively but eclectic crowd: a mix of just about everything - young and old, foreign and local, students and businessmen. Staff were ok -neither this nor that- and a couple of tables on the pavement outdide, and the toilets decent.
