Overall, this was a disappointing stay. The hotel itself has a lovely aesthetic, which is ultimately why I chose it, but the overall guest experience fell short in several areas. The biggest issue was the lack of privacy in the room. Our windows directly faced neighbouring apartment balconies, and there were builders working just outside throughout the day. (shown on pictures attached). Being pregnant, the first thing I wanted to do after a long day of travelling was relax and feel comfortable in the room, but I never felt I had any privacy. It felt as though people could look directly into the room, which was quite uncomfortable. The second issue was the lack of air conditioning. The hotel kindly offered us a fan, but during a warm summer stay it simply was not enough. Normally, opening the windows would have helped, but because of the neighbouring balconies and builders working outside, this was not really an option. There was also construction taking place in front of the hotel. I understand that this is outside the hotel’s control, but it would have been helpful to inform guests in advance, as it significantly affected the overall atmosphere of the stay. We were also surprised that nobody assisted with our luggage on arrival. We had several bags, and at a hotel of this standard we expected some help. Another first for us was the absence of a telephone in the room. If we needed anything, we had to use our own mobile phones to call reception. The bathroom amenities were disappointing as well. The toiletries were almost empty when we arrived and were not replenished during housekeeping, which felt rather cheap. There were also no bathrobes provided, something we would normally expect. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of fresh ingredients. As vegetarians, we cannot comment on the meat options, but the eggs, toast, fruit and pastries were all fresh and delicious. The Mimosa mix available at breakfast was a particularly nice touch. Restaurant Bella is absolutely gorgeous and was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel. The décor is stunning. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to dine there in the evening, but we would certainly book a table on a future visit to Copenhagen. The room itself was very clean and large, with charming décor, and the bed was large and extremely comfortable. There is also a gym available, although we did not have the opportunity to use it. A beautiful hotel aesthetically, but the overall experience did not quite live up to expectations.
The hotel was like something out of a Wes Anderson movie. You feel like your are on a movie set. The location was great, you can reach nearly everywhere by a short walking or a couple of metro stations. The standard room was comfortable enough, it fulfills your basic needs. The room was also quieter than I thought even it is located in the city center. The staff was polite and helpful. Last night we did not make a reservation to the restaurant but they helped as much as they could. So my general experience was good.
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and I was very happy with everything. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and the atmosphere made me feel good during my stay. I also really enjoyed the Donna restaurant — the food and service were excellent. A special thank you to Simona at the front office. She was very kind, helpful, and professional with me throughout my stay. Her warm attitude made my experience even better. Thank you again to the whole team. I would be happy to come back in the future.
We recently stayed at Bella Grande during one of the most special moments of our lives: our wedding in Copenhagen. We booked the suite for ourselves and also had our parents and families staying at the hotel, and honestly, the entire experience was absolutely unforgettable. From the very beginning, the service was impeccable. Every single member of the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. There was not one part of our stay that we did not love. Everything was simply perfect. The team went above and beyond to accommodate every request we had throughout the whole process and truly made us and our families feel at home during such an emotional and important time for us. We are usually not someone who leaves reviews, but in this case it genuinely felt necessary because of the incredible experience they gave us. A huge thank you to everyone at Bella Grande for making our stay so memorable. We will always look back at these days with so much happiness and gratitude!! We will definitely be back in the future. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The lift I used appeared to be too small for a wheelchair. Some rooms have steps to the door from the corridor and to the bathroom inside so make sure to ask if you need an accessible room. The prosciutto and cardamon rolls at breakfast were superb. I didn’t really enjoy much else at breakfast. I could hear everything in the adjoining room. I could not find a working light switch for the bed spotlights. There was a switch, but it did nothing. I had to turn the power off to make the lights go out, which meant I couldn’t charge my phone. The staff can store your luggage. Great location. Was very confused by two single duvets on the double bed. Bed was very comfortable.
