You'll hear the story of our guide, Julie, who shares her experiences from Copenhagen's streets and her fight against heroin addiction. Julie will personally show you around Vesterbro, a lively area known for its great restaurants and nightlife. But she'll also reveal a side of Vesterbro that many don't know about. Meet Julie at Stampes Gade 1, right by 'Københavns Hs' Metro and Copenhagen Central Station. The tour lasts 90 minutes with 5 stops, and it ends where it start During the tour, Julie will talk about her seemingly perfect life with work, family, and friends, until it all changed at a party with some white powder. For four tough years, heroin took over her life. Join her as she shares her journey from a stable life to fighting addiction, and learn about the toll it took on relationships, happiness, and self-care. About Voices of the Streets Voices of the Streets (Gadens Stemmer) offers unique walking tours. Our guides are experts on the streets, providing insight into lives marked by drug abuse, homelessness, crime, and much more. They share personal stories, offering a glimpse into a world few are familiar with. It's an experience that leaves a lasting impression. Our tours last 1.5 hours and include 5 - 6 stops along the way. Voices of the Streets has around 30 guides in Copenhagen and is also active in Odense, Aalborg, Esbjerg, and Vejle. In 2023, we did more than 1300 tours. We are a social enterprise (non-profit) dedicated to creating meaningful employment opportunities for socially disadvantaged individuals.Includes
