We had a fantastic experience here! The room felt huge, and that magnificent floor-to-ceiling style window gave us the most stunning view. Access to the lounge was a wonderful perk; having breakfast and light afternoon snacks there was so convenient, and the food was consistently good. A lovely, relaxing environment all around.
This was a lovely hotel experience, as we booked the hotel last minute. But we did end up having some bumps in the experience. When we rented the bikes from the hotel, two of them broke by chains falling off the bikes. We were able to fix them but it was not a great thing to happen. Not sure if we paid for them. We did end up in a different room than promised, but we earned free breakfast and lounge access which was nice. The hotel is in a great location, close to Tivoli gardens and lots of food spots. As we were visiting in a warmer month, we were please to see that the hotel had outdoor seating and a swimming spot in the river meters away. We had a good experience, but the non upgraded rooms had a smell of smoke, and the chairs had some ash on them. Maybe if you are worried about that, book a renovated room.
Hotel is nice. Lobby area bathrooms are filthy. Lounge is dark and dingy. But appears cleaned. Beds are in need of replacing. Location is not great. Not close to to center of city. Check in process was ridiculous. Poor job training this team for sure. I have 2600 plus nights at Marriott and never ever have i had to wait until 3 pm for my room. Then they lost my credit card pre authorization which caught my attention as to how poorly executed the first check in was.
I had a fabulous stay at the Copenhagen Marriott. The hospitality was impeccable from start to finish, and the staff genuinely made me feel welcome. The location on Kalvebod Brygge along Copenhagen’s harbor canal is outstanding. One of my favorite touches was that the hotel provides towels if you want to take a dip in the harbor. With public harbor piers just steps away, it is a wonderful way to experience Copenhagen like a local. On a sunny Saturday afternoon, the waterfront was full of people of all ages swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the atmosphere. It created such a vibrant and welcoming scene. The Executive Lounge breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and beautiful canal views. The rooms are beginning to show their age, but they are spotless, spacious, and exceptionally well maintained. Overall, this was a fantastic stay. Between the outstanding service, excellent location, and unique waterfront atmosphere, I would happily return.
