We loved this hotel. Upscale and beautifully decorated. Bed was amazing, sheets and pillows perfect. Great thick towels and lovely shampoos and lotions. Extremely clean, perfect location for walking the city. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Overall a lovely stay. I don’t really have anything to complain about! Welcoming and competent staff and the best beds ever. Will defenitly come back when coming back to Copenhagen!
The location is really great, breakfast was good, and bed was pretty comfortable. However that’s where it ends. I had a single twin as a solo traveler and it was about $250/night for the tiniest room. I’m from the NYC area — an even more expensive city than Copenhagen — and the room I got wouldn’t go for more than $125/night there. The first floor has a really strong chemical smell, someone described it as formaldehyde, which I agree with. The room when I walked in smelled super musty and moldy, like an old moldy book. I kept my window open the whole stay and it did thankfully freshen up the room, but in colder months I can’t imagine staying in that room. I was coughing so much and my throat was burning when I first walked in. Housing-keeping walked in without knocking at 9:15 AM! Also the hotel won’t make to-go breakfast boxes for those leaving early because putting a croissant and hard boiled egg in a box is apparently too difficult for them. All over Europe (Germany, France, Italy, etc) I’ve been able to get one, but not here even though I requested it a whole day before departure. And they don’t refund you for the day if you’ve prepaid for breakfast but they won’t serve it to you. Reception was kinda useless at check-in or any other time to offer any type of info or help. It was like they were doing me a favor when I asked a question instead of being paid to do so. Next time pay slightly more and stay at Marriott or the NH Collection (I visited a friend there and it was incredible, like all other NH properties I’ve stayed at). I like to support local boutique hotels when I travel, but it’s hard to do so when this is the service they offer.
We celebrated our anniversary during the weekend of May 10th 2026. The hotel has one major asset up its sleeve : a superb location (metro Marmorkirken, Amaliënborg , Nyhavn, all within 3 min !! walking ....) Breakfast = very good, clean and complete Staff : super friendly It could have been a 5 star rating if it was not for our room. It was on the 4th floor, and too small, the bed also too small .....
stayed three nights in a very quiet room. Just 2 streets to Nyhavn and many must-see places/cafes. Excellent location!! The room had two double beds facing each other with a very cute design. From the moment you enter the hotel, you are warmly welcomed at the door. The staff are very kind and professional. The corridors and the hotel atmosphere feel like traveling through history. We also loved the creams in the bathroom! My only suggestion is that slippers should be provided in the room as it is such an elegant and high level hotel.
