Reviews
The service was high quality and the location is very close to the city center. The rooms were generally clean, but they are quite compact, small, and let a lot of noise through. I liked the breakfast, although it was a bit cramped because the seating area is quite small. Overall, I can say it was a good stay.
Overall, it is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. For instance, when I asked for ice on a hot day, I was immediately given a champagne bucket full of it. The breakfast was also extensive and delicious. If you leave the window open at 6 a.m., you are woken up by the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries. However, the room design takes some getting used to. I found the lack of a fridge (and ice machines) rather inconvenient. It seems the furniture design is intended to discourage guests from lingering in their rooms, encouraging them instead to sit in the spacious bar area downstairs and buy drinks; my relatively large room, for example, had neither a table nor chairs.
The hotel itself is nice, although the rooms are very small. The challenge was the location, between a pub and a nightclub. We stayed on a weekend and both nights there were partiers in the street outside and it was very very loud even with windows closed. If you're a late night person it's probably fine, but i would look elsewhere next time. Breakfast was great though.
A phenomenal little motel near the heart of Copenhagen. The staff is very chill and doesn’t disturb visitors chilling in the lounge (unlike other hotels….). The lounge is very pleasant, with a comfortable couch, magazines for entertainment, board games, and even blankets one can take if it gets cold. The lobby also has a bar, and though I didn’t buy anything it was staffed all night and looked very aesthetically pleasing. Motel one is a great spot for people looking to escape the cold dark streets of Copenhagen, I would HIGHLY recommend :)
Should be 4.5 stars. The location was great. Close enough to everything, but not in the middle of it all. The room was small, as expected. Just be aware if you have a lot of luggage. The bathroom was tiny, but served its purpose, lack of places to put things was a struggle. The toilet space was small, be aware if you are a little wide in the rear. No ventilation/fan. The nearby Church/clock bell is only silent from midnight-8am. It is an older building, so a little noisy. Really needed some privacy sheers on the windows, our room at the back had a shared view with the housing across the courtyard. And lastly, flatter pillow option would have been nice. Overall however, it was great.
