I stayed in room 417. The room itself was a little old, but it was absolutely spotless. Whoever is responsible for the cleaning does an expert job with attention to detail. The entire hotel felt very clean and fresh. My room smelled really nice and felt comfortable throughout my stay. The staff were average, but the cleanliness of the hotel and the room quality made a very positive impression on me.
Hotel Maritime is in a great location, walking distance to shops, restaurants, markets, and the river front. Our room was well maintained and clean. Breakfast is available for a fee. The staff is very friendly. They stored our luggage for free before check-in time so we could go explore the area without having to lug them around with us, which was really appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice location and customer service. The cheapest hotel we could find for 3 people in Copenhagen. I still consider it to be expensive given the room, but I suppose that’s the case with Denmark prices in general. Two problems with the room: 1) No fridge (don’t know if that’s frequent in Denmark but I was quite shocked when I realised it). 2) It only had a small fan, which wouldn’t have been enough for 3 people. Wasn’t a problem for us now but I suppose that if the weather is hot this might be a significant issue. But then again, is it ever hot in CPH? 🧐 I suppose in July / August?
The location is really convenient. It's close to canal cruises, nyhaven night views/life, close to the metro, easy walk along the water front in either direction. So close to the cycling tracks all along the water. Rooms are a little small for two people with two suitcases though. Mattress and quilt we warm. Bathroom is rather basic and dated. Small knobs in place of hooks make it difficult to hang anything in the bathroom. I didn't like the black colour theme for internal cupboards - too easy to lose your things inside. Small cupboard. Candles everywhere downstairs makes for a very cosy ambience.
A beautiful hotel and experience in NYC. Thoughtful design, great free breakfast and bikes, friendly. A bit of a Wes Anderson feel with the maritime theme. Highly reccomend!
