Reviews
We stayed in one of the superior king rooms and all I would say is it’s a very average room for the price - staff are very friendly and location is fantastic but the rooms are as small as possible and cleanliness is substandard. The photos do wonders are making the rooms appear bigger than they are! The bathroom is also a wet room which isn’t apparent from the photos.
Great Hostel with modern, clean rooms. We were there with a group of 8 and had a room to ourselves which was nice. The lounge/bar area was great. Lots of amenities, tables and a great atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to make friends among fellow travelers from all over the world.
The rooms are very unclean, there's gum stuck under the bed and there are hairs all over the floor and they denied us check in because they were cleaning it but from the looks of it they just came put the sheets on the bed and left and they don't have paper towels in the room. The rooms have a weird smell and overall dirty. The staff was also arrogant to underage customers. We paid so much money to get bad rooms and bad service. Location was good but the experience was not, never booking here again.
It was very clean. Each bed has its own socket and light. Rooms are spacious. Only thing is each bed had a privacy board at the head, but I feel a curtain would have been better. As the only female in a room of 7 men, I was a little uncomfortable so ended up hanging my towel from bunk above. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Last year I stayed at Generator Hostel Copenhagen for 2 nights during a short trip, and it turned out to be a really good experience. The location is excellent; very close to Nytorv station and within walking distance of some attractions like Nyhavn and Rosenborg Castle. The room was a bit small, but cozy and comfortable for a short stay. The washroom was also compact, but manageable and well-equipped with basic toiletries like shower gel. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. They also provided lockers, some even with charging points, which was very convenient. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, making it easy to get everything you need. Overall, the place was clean, well-maintained, and better than I expected for a hostel. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it for short visits to Copenhagen.
